Fall 2020 Update
Hey all,
Hope everyone is well. Things have been on and off okay. The pandemic has been hard on me as it has been on everyone else in the world. Though neither me nor my family have thankfully been touched by the virus (and we're trying to keep it that way), it is hard to cope. Most of my studies were moved to an online format, only able to see patients once a week. While I enjoy the idea of having classes in my jimjams, it can be hard to keep focus, but that is being worked on.
Meanwhile the election is a friggin' nightmare. It seems the country is more divided than ever, so I'm trying to avoid the negativity as much as possible. All I know is that we also need God now as we have always needed Him. No matter who wins, Jesus is King.
Also, on a personal sadder note and regarding my status update:
I may have not mentioned this, but after my dog Baby passed away, we took in a wandering tuxedo kitty whom I called Patches. After four years, she recently died. Now it really feels empty, not having an animal friend walk beside you or sit on your bed (or desk x3 ). Not sure we'll be taking in another pet for a while.
In better news, this past summer, me and knightcommander managed to see each other again. Even took a trip to Corolla, NC. Loads of fun. ^^ And this month marks 12 years that we've started going out. Happy anniversary, hon.

I Is Alive
Hi people.
Time for a much-needed update.
Well, the second semester of Dental Hygiene has been going underway with its own hiccups and challenges like the first semester. Many leading to periods of major anxiety and/or depression (Being on a Heathers binge didn't help). But after talking with close friends and the counselor for the health programs at school, I'm feeling a bit better.
However, that hasn't stopped the challenges that we now face.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of my classes have been changed to an online format and we're currently unable to see patients. According to one of my teachers, we may have to make up for lost time with evening and weekend clinics.
It's insane how it's impacted people globally, so much so that it's limiting or even canceling church services (or at the very least having them be live-streamed). But things seemed to work out for us before. And in times like this, it seems that the works of God are more noticeable. It could be seen as a reminder that He is there with us no matter the struggle.
We sure need Him, as we always have.
And I thought that dealing with the tornadoes we got would be the craziest thing to happen.
Special thanks to my peeps who heard me out when things were getting tough and through today's obstacles too. Y'all are gems!

Well that was a Bust
I might avoid doing month-long commitments to certain themed drawings or events. 30 days and I only dished out three experiments, and I don't think they got much notice anyway. For those of you who DID leave a comment rather than JUST fave and forget, thanks. I really appreciate it.
I apologize for not dishing out as much as I had hoped. There are still works in progress but ya know, life.
Oh well. I'm still kinda riding a Stitch high, so you'll probs be seeing whatever I've got left. Just hope to still be drawing by the time I start the Dental Hygiene Program. I'll be needing something to make me de-stress. Though to be honest, I still wish more people noticed my drawings. And if they did, left a comment. Heck when I posted that vent journal I only got the one from my boyfriend. Sure that should be plenty, but still...
(Love you, hon!) And again, who am I to talk?
But the life of an artist ain't easy for anyone.

And Now, Here's Me with an Update

Anyhoo, hi all!
Well in the good long while since I last posted a journal, a good bit has happened.
Season 9 of MLP has been going pretty okay. We're dealing with a bit of a heat wave 
Weather reports say it'll cool off a bit soon. FINALLY some news about the new VeggieTales Show! 
Plus the fact that we've got the classic look back, Phil, Mike, and Lisa are back... 
And oh yeah, I GOT ACCEPTED INTO THE DENTAL HYGIENE PROGRAM! 
See, the 26th is also known as "Stitch Day" since, you know, 6/26. Also meaning that Angel and Reuben are celebrated as well on the days prior. Plus that the film first hit the big screen on the 16th back on '02, why not have the whole month dedicated to our fave little adorable blue ball of mischief and his o'hana.
And so, for this month, I'll be working on dishing out some new Lilo and Stitch based artwork; this includes new upgrades to a couple old OC's.
I can't promise a drawing a day like one would try for Inktober. But I hope to draw a good bit. Any thing to up my skills and keep me chill. Drawing is soooo relaxing.
